Reserve the right to reinvent yourself, Girl Warrior. At any time. Under any circumstances. Any day of the week, month or year. Where ever you are right now in your life. You can become a different person, if you want to.
There are no rules to this reinvention game.
You just have to want to play. You have to want to be a game-changer in your own life. You have to be willing to shed the old you or the person you’ve outgrown, surpassed, eclipsed or transcended. Kiss that girl goodbye, wish her well and recast yourself in a whole new Light. A great big bright Light. An exquisite breathtaking extraordinary Light. And know this, girl. Your Light is far too lofty to be held captive, held down or held back. So don’t do it.
Instead, shed more Light. And more. And more. Forevermore.
Break through any and all barriers. Not only the ones imposed by external forces but the ones you’ve created of your own accord. Ones you’ve manifested, fabricated or imagined into being. Intentionally or inadvertently, it matters not. For these are far more sinister, so beware, girl.
Demolish any walls you’ve built around yourself. You no longer need their protection. If there’s a crack in the glass ceiling, push on it and let the hidden opportunities rain down. If the floor can no longer support your weight, build a new one, a stronger foundation based on your newfound truth. Do what ever you need to do to let the altered you emerge. It’s that important.
It’s never too late to reinvent yourself. Don’t let anyone con you with that pitiful piece of fiction. You’re never too old. Think like Grandma Moses. Julia Child. Nancy Pelosi. Elizabeth Warren. These extraordinary women are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to being the mother of reinvention. In fact, they invented reinvention. Add your name to the list.
And here’s the real beauty part, girl. You can reinvent yourself as often, and in as many different ways, as you like. Infinite reinvention. Repeat.
